Where can I buy the SENTRY Magnetic Screen Door?

Sentry Screens® Magnetic Screen Doors can be purchased from Amazon US, Canada, and Mexico.

Since no tools are necessary to install SENTRY Screen, how is it installed?

SENTRY comes with Velcro strips sewn into the outer edge of the mesh door. Simply peel the backing from the Velcro strips, stick them to your doorjamb, and then attach the mesh to the Velcro. The easy installation takes about 5 minutes. Please see our Installation Tips page.

What is the best way to measure my door before ordering?

Please measure your doorjamb and not the door itself. Measure at the widest part of the opening. For the height, measure from the top of the doorjamb, to the top of the floor plate, or threshold. For the screen to work properly it must hang just above the floor plate so that it can swing freely and snap closed. If the screen drags it will not close properly. Will the SENTRY work on doors other than at my house?

Yes. The SENTRY works great for cottages, condominiums, apartments, RVs, trailers, and for wheelchair accessibility.

Does SENTRY come in any colors other than black?

Yes. SENTRY is also available in bei ge, brown, white, and grey.

I have young children and 2 big dogs. Is SENTRY durable enough?

Yes, SENTRY is manufactured with premium quality materials to ensure durability and dependability. We use a 60g micromesh for the screen, while most other screens only use 30g. All edges are reinforced to ensure that they are resistant to extreme weather and to retain a nice, clean appearance. Under normal circumstances, SENTRY should look and function like new for many years.

Should I use the thumbtacks included with the SENTRY Screen?

Your temperature, climate, environment, exposure to the elements, and position of the screen door in relation to the sun are some of the factors to consider. Therefore, although we apply a strong adhesive to the Velcro, we do recommend that you use thumbtacks to keep the door securely in place.

Should I take SENTRY Screen down for the winter?

The SENTRY Magnetic Screen Door is designed to allow hands-free entry and exit, to and from your home, and to prevent bugs from entering, while allowing the fresh air in to naturally cool your home. If you don’t leave your door open during the winter months, we recommend you take down the SENTRY Magnetic Screen, fold it up neatly, and store it until the following Spring.

Can I lock the SENTRY Screen?

No. SENTRY is not a security door. Do not use it where you don’t want to allow access to pets or children.
